Love has been said to exist in 3 stages, lust, attraction, and attachment. And for most of us, this can be a well-known fact. However, what most of us might not realize is, recent studies have shown the brain, releases a certain group of chemicals, when people have been in love.
Romantic love stories
These chemicals include Pheromones, Dopamine, Norepinephrine and Serotonin. Without getting technical, the end result is a sense of euphoria or excitement.
This chemical effect and lust, is said never to last higher than a couple of months, and it is the first emotion which is experienced in romantic love.
The next stage of affection is, attraction, and is also usually depending on physical attraction, common interest, and attributes, for example money, status, job title, standing in the community, popularity, etc.
The very first two stages of affection, lust and attraction, are NOT enough to produce a long term relationship. The third stage of love, "attachment" is required to sustain a lasting relationship.
It should be noted, that attachment is avoided, at all cost by a few lovers, especially if they are hurt in the past. This is frequently the case, each time a couple continues to be dating for two or 3 months, and it is all totally great until one day, one partner constitutes a sudden go on to exit the relationship. Concern with attachment can be quite a huge obstacle, when trying to obtain your mate man or woman to state, "I do."
After the feeling of excitement and euphoria, wear thin right after months, this is when mature actions, has to be applied if your relationship is to last. For a few, the lost of the euphoria is simply too much, and they follow the feeling to an alternative relationship and begin once again with a new person.
An appreciation story follows the events each time a couple makes it through all three stages. Movies, novels, and short love stories which offer this sort of entertainment, provide a way for the viewer or reader to "remember," once they too felt that way. This sort of entertainment reinforces our belief and faith for each other.
